The name of this selection refers to both the mythical
"Cockaigne", and the "Cocagne" - a
blue dye made from the woad flower - which was this region's
source of wealth for several centuries.
The red and rosé Nuances de Cocagne are traditional
"cuvées" made from the main grape varieties
of the appellation: Syrah, Duras, Braucol .
These
wines, honest, direct and straightforward , are for fairly
early consumption with grills, barbecues and delicatessen.
The blue of the "Cocagne" has influenced the
design of the labels.
The
white Nuances de Cocagne is the result of a subtle combination
in fairly equal proportions of Mauzac and Sauvignon. The
former brings an aroma of green apple and a slight tannic
structure, which gives consistency to the wine, while
the latter conveys the freshness of its grapefruit bouquet. |
